A Look Inside The Preserve at Wilderness Lake

The Preserve at Wilderness Lake CDD’s unique atmosphere provides residents an extraordinary experience, from its all-inclusive amenities to the small details in the décor.
Rizzetta has the privilege of managing the community development district and staffing the clubhouse from the Rizzetta Amenity Services team. Tish Dobson, clubhouse manager, has been with the community for fifteen years, seven of which she has been an asset and a team member of Rizzetta. Tish describes the community by stating, “It’s like a sanctuary; there are tons of wilderness areas and it has such a different look and feel, unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.”
The beautiful community was established on 680 acres, with 310 acres set aside for wetlands, conservations and parks for the residents to enjoy. Seven builders were hand selected by the developer to create this unique community. The layout was constructed to tuck the houses between the trees and ponds, preserving a lot of the natural landscape and providing protection to the houses in harsh weather.
When board chairman Jim Estel first visited The Preserve at Wilderness Lake to purchase a home, he said the unique design of the community and the welcoming he received from Tish Dobson, was what really captivated him. Jim says, “Everything looks like cookie cutter communities, but this community is so unique. It’s the experience, the maintenance and the details.”
The attraction of the community does not stop with the design and décor. The Preserve at Wilderness Lake offers an abundance of amenities including a heated lap pool, beautiful lagoon pool for children and families, Jacuzzi, splash pad, three story playground, tennis courts, half basketball court, sand volleyball, parks, and business center. In addition, the community has a screened in classroom for school, lectures, dog classes and more, which is attached to their nature center with animals and learning spots, and a theater with over 500 DVDs which seats up to 27 guests. The activity center is equipped with a jukebox, pool table, popcorn machine and 150 board games, the newly renovated fitness room is complete with locker rooms and saunas, and the clubhouse leads out to a dock with canoes, kayaks and jon boats.
In addition, the entertainment for residents does not cease with the amenities. Tish plans an abundance of activities and events for the residents including Photoshop classes every Thursday, an Easter experience with 6,000 hidden eggs, the Easter Bunny and face painting, Earth Day under the stars with a telescope, and planned activities for every day during spring break such as tie-dying, cooking décor, and bird watching.
When asking Tish her favorite part of Wilderness Lake, she quickly responded, "The residents! I love the interaction with them; I roll out the red carpet and anything they need, I am here!"
